is a 9 year old Mustang Mare. She was brough to WHR by Morgan Silver,
Director of Horse
Protection Association of Florida (HPAF)
This mare is emaciated with sores on her back and over
grown hooves.
She was kept tied to a tree by her previous owner. The
owner had other horses on the property who
were were
fed, cared for and not tied up. The discrepancy between this mares
treatment and that of the other horses makes this case especially
cruel. Morgan Silver is currently pursuing charges
against
the owner. This pretty mare deserves love, kindness
and a new adoptive home so she does not have to go back to
the BLM in July. BLM Adoption Fee: $125
Luna has been ADOPTED
by Morgan of Ocala, Fl

UTAH
Utah
is a 8 year old bay Mustang Stallion.
Sadly, kept isolated since a
colt, Utah was never trained or handled.
He lacked all social skills on how to interact
with people or even other horses. His fear and confusion has turned
into
extreme aggression. He was referred to WHR in the hope that
something could be done to help him integrate.

A field operation was conducted by the Veterinarian.
Unfortunately, Utah
had a retained testicle located too
far within his body to conduct a field castration.
Diane has been working with Utah, using Wild Horse gentling
techniques, but currently considers him too dangerous to be
adopted. We'll keep you posted on this poor boy's
progress. |
