| EPIC Epic is a Mustang Mare originally sold at BLM auction. She was rescued by Richard Kudo of ARM, at a illegal horse slaughter operation near Miami, Fl. WHRC, working with ARM, has taken Epic in, who is preganant, until her foal is born and we place her in a wild horse sanctuary.  |
| CHEROKEE Cherokee is a 18 yr old gelding that had been neglected. He looks great now and available for adoption. Cherokee is a saddle trained riding horse for an experienced rider. He is currently being fostered by Ericka (Thank You Ericka!).   |
| MAGOO Magoo is a 3 yr old Stallion Mustang out of Fallon, Nevada. Magoo will be gelded and receive his coggins, vaccinations and have his feet trimmed. He needs to gain weight and may also be blind one eye, which the Vet will check for us. We are currently evaluating him. He's a friendly boy :-) Update: Magoo was gelded and Vet confirmed he's blind in one eye. Magoo has been Adopted by Aimee of Hastings, Fl.     |
| 20 Wild Horse Yearlings Wild Horse Rescue Center (FL), working with Lifesavers Wild Horse Rescue (CA), took in 20 wild horse weanlings and yearlings, saved from kill buyers at the Paiute Horse Auction held in Fallon, Nevada. These weanling and yearlings arrived in Florida in March. We started looking for homes before the babies arrived in Florida so most have new homes now. WHRC kept five of the youngsters to train/gentle before placing them for adoption. Here's some of their photos. Update: 18 of the wild babies have been Adopted, including those our rescue took in (Twist, Ringo Starr, Rango, Senora and Andy). Two babies are left, Annie and Fate, currently available for adoption. Thier photos and info can be viewed on our Adoption page. | LOTUS Lotus is a a 2 year old Mustang mare out of Oregon. Lotus developed a severe case of shipping fever and the swelling caused a rupture wound in her cheek. It healed well but did not close completely, so water/saliva still leaks out. After speaking with BLM, Diane learned its likely Lotus would be euthanized. She is a lovely young horse and the surgery is minor. WHRC decided to adopt Lotus, raise medical funds for her surgery, and then find her a loving home.   UPDATE: Our Vet was here and worked on Lotus's cheek wound. While she was sedated we had the farrier trim her hooves as well. Lotus is recovering well and now up for ADOPTION! Thank you to all the wonderful people who donated funds for her vet procedure. You made a difference in this little girls life. Thank You!  |

| GLADIATOR Gladiator is a 5 year old Mustang gelding out of Oregon. He is 15.1 hands and had basic ground training at Gunnison, CO prison facilities, part of their wild horse program. He was adopted but returned by adopters who had too many horses but wanted to make sure he went to a good home. Gladiator has been Adopted by Cynthia of Edgewater, Fl.   |
